TAG is the UC Transfer Admission Guarantee program for eligible community-college students, offered by UC Davis, Irvine, Merced, Riverside, Santa Barbara, and Santa Cruz. We plan course compliance, GPA, and timing toward TAG requirements. Eligibility and outcomes depend on each student's profile.
Complete at least 60 semester (90 quarter) UC-transferable units with the minimum GPA, finish the seven-course pattern in English, math, and other subject areas, and complete the preparation courses for your intended major. Selective campuses and majors expect more than the minimum.
The UC application with your self-reported coursework, activities, and awards, plus four personal insight question responses. TAG is a separate application filed in September, and private universities may also ask for recommendation letters.
