Check eligibility before building the schedule
TAG planning starts with campus and major eligibility, minimum GPA, unit progress, English, math, and transferable coursework.
- Verify whether the intended major is TAG-eligible for the current year.
- Check whether required courses can be finished by the deadline.
TAG filing
File with exact course and grade information
The TAG application is only useful if planned courses, completed courses, and GPA status are entered accurately.
- Match course names, terms, and units to the transcript.
- Do not list a planned course casually if it is hard to complete.
UC application
Submit the full UC application anyway
TAG does not replace the regular UC transfer application. The broader application still needs accurate courses, PIQs, activities, and updates.
- Keep PIQ and activities aligned with the non-TAG target list.
- Use TAG as one route, not the only application story.
After filing
Protect the conditions
A later grade drop, changed course, missing update, or unit issue can still create risk.
- Monitor final grades and required course completion.
- Prepare a fallback campus or major plan before decisions arrive.
